IM Browser Tutorial

Filtering

Maps can be filtered two ways. One way is to use the Filter menu, which allows filtering based on the number of interactions/gene, node attributes, confidence, etc.

The second way to filter is to use table-specific criteria. To access table-specific criteria, right-click on a table.

Notice that you could search specific tables to find new interactions or to color nodes and edges.

In this example we will filter out interactions from the Curagen YTH table that have Curagen confidence scores <0.5

Selecting Filter from the Curagen YTH table produces a Curagen YTH-specific Query Form.

The form lists all of the attributes for the Curagen YTH data. One of the attributes is "Curagen Confidence" Note that only this data set will have this attribute.

Select "<" and type in "0.5" then click "Filter" .

.

Interactions (nodes and edges) that had Curagen Confidence scorez <0.5 will be found and deleted if you click Yes.
